Tree-planting Saturday in Brier Hill

YOUNGSTOWN

A tree-planting commemorating Youngstown’s Tree City USA designation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Oakland Avenue and Superior Street in the city’s Brier Hill neighborhood.

Trees are being planted as part of ongoing enhancement efforts in the Brier Hill Neighborhood-U.S. Route 422 Corridor. The project is funded by V&M Star and coordinated by Lien Forward Ohio and Treez Please with assistance from neighborhood churches, businesses, neighbors and civic organizations.
