Wineries team up for turkey trot

The fourth annual Grand River Valley Wine Region Turkey Trot will be Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. at Debonn Vineyards, Ferrante Winery and Ristorante, Grand River Cellars Winery and Restaurant, Laurello Vineyards and St. Joseph Vineyards. The drive-yourself tour includes wine tasting paired with food samples. All five participating wineries are within 10 minutes of one another, and each winery will feature a different part of the Thanksgiving meal and pair two wines that complement it. In addition, recipes will be given out. The cost is $5 per person at each winery ($4 with the donation of a canned food item that will go to local food banks). Penn State campus offers talent show

“Music and Misunderstandings,” Penn State Shenango’s third annual talent show, will be at 7:30 tonight and Saturday in the campus auditorium on Shenango Avenue, downtown. Acts will range from a singer/songwriter to a stand-up comic to an Australian didgeridoo player.

Admission is $5 ($3 for seniors and students). Those who donate a nonperishable food item for the Community Food Warehouse will receive a dollar discount off the ticket price. The event will include a basket raffle.
