Flu and pneumonia shots are offered at the Everlife Worship Center, 474 Early Road, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Flu shots are $15 and pneumonia shots $45. Medicare and Medicaid are accepted.
At 10 a.m., Dr. James Tolliver will speak on health- related questions and answer questions. There also will be free food, vendors, free HIV testing and health screening, informational displays and a Zumba instructor. The public is invited.
Neighborhood volunteers needed

The Idora Neighborhood workday is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers will meet at the Youngstown Playhouse on Glenwood Avenue. They will be painting, installing boards to secure vacant homes, and removing debris. For more information, call 330-480-0423.
Holiday craft show
Niles
Shepherd of the Valley – Niles, 1500 McKinley Ave., is having its 17th annual Holiday Craft Show on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nearly 30 vendors will offer crafts, jewelry, Christmas decorations, and food items.
The craft show is free and open to the public, and free parking is available. All proceeds from the craft show go to support resident activities
Everyone is asked to bring an item for the USO Holiday Boxes program, under the auspices of which are sent to military personnel stationed overseas and other remote duty stations. Suggestions include treats, greeting cards, holiday decorations, DVDs and CDs, and hand and feet warmers.

During November Shepherd of the Valley in Poland is collecting nonperishable food items for the food bank at Victory Lutheran Church, Glenwood Avenue, Youngstown. The church feeds 160-180 families/people per month.

The Trumbull County Health Department and Area Agency on Aging 11 are sponsoring a free workshop, “Healthy U,” which provides information to help people manage chronic health conditions such as asthma, arthritis, heart disease and diabetes.
The class will meet from 9 to 11:30 a.m. twice a week for three weeks at St. Joe’s at Eastwood Mall.
