Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal includes salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be available for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. Boardman United Methodist Church, 6809 Market St., is having its annual turkey dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Advance ticket purchases are recommended; call the church office at 330-758-4527. Carryouts are available. The cost is $9 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and $1 for those 5 and under.
Calvary United Methodist Church, 12063 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have a drive-thru chicken dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Meals include stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie. The cost is $6. To order ahead call 330-549-2588 or 330-549-5106.
Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.
VFW Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will be the setting for a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, Italian bread, and coffee or tea. The cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under 12 and $6.25 for carryouts.
FRIDAY
American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m.: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; chicken with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; or shrimp with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage. Each meal is $8 for adults, $5 for children 4 to 12 and free for those 3 and under. A fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw is $5.50. For carryouts call (330) 654-5630. Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.
Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.
Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have a turkey dinner with all the trimmings from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Meals include mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, green beans, coleslaw, cranberry sauce, bread and pumpkin pie. Sit-down or takeout dinners will be available until sold out. Cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. All proceeds benefit mission projects of the church.
St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.
St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will sell pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling 330-746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.
St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Frozen pirogi will be sold while supplies last. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.
St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $4.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. There will be no sales the week of Thanksgiving.
St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Walk-in orders will be available. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
SATURDAY
Bessemer Presbyterian Church, 29 N. Main St., Bessemer, Pa., will serve braised steak dinners from 5 to 7 p.m. at a cost of $8 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, will have a chicken pie dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Meals include potato, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, bread, beverage and dessert. The price is $8 for adults and $4 for children 6 to 12; younger children eat for free. Takeouts will be available.
Good Hope Preschool and Childcare, 98 Homestead Drive, Boardman, will have a chili dinner at 5 p.m. Dinner will include corn bread and a beverage for $6; also available will be hot dog, chips and a beverage for $3. Prior to the dinner will be a Leap of Faith Praise band concert at 3:30. A freewill donation will be collected at the concert; proceeds will benefit the Good Hope Preschool scholarship fund. There will also be a silent auction.
Men of Grace Lutheran Church, 111 Hall Ave., Hubbard, will have a fall pork and kraut dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Carryouts are available. Donations are $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Old Springfield United Church of Christ, 11957 state Route 170, New Middletown, will have its annual fall dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Dinners will include turkey with all the trimmings, including dessert. Tickets are available at the door at a cost of $8 for adults and $3.50 for children 6 to 12. Those 5 and under are free. Carryouts will be available. There will also be a bake sale and basket auction from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Smith Corners United Methodist Church, Route 46 and Kirk Road, Austintown, will have an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The meal includes sausage, juice, and coffee or tea. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 10. Toddlers eat for free.

Boardman Band and Orchestra Parents Inc. will have a pasta dinner from noon to 5 p.m. at St. Mary Church, Glenwood Avenue, Boardman. Tickets are $7 each and are available from all band and orchestra students, as well as at the door. St. Rose Boy Scout Troop 40 will have its annual turkey dinner from noon to 3:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Girard, 22 Market St. There will be roasted and fried turkey and all the trimmings. The price is $8 for adults, $5 for children 4 to 11 and free for those 3 and under. Tickets are available at the door. Takeouts will be available. A bake sale will be in the lobby of the church hall.
Ursuline High School Interact Club and the Youngstown Rotary Club will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the school cafeteria.
