Salem attorney gets state bar service award

COLUMBUS

Atty. Shawna L’Italien, who resides in Salem, has received the Ohio State Bar Foundation’s statewide community service award for lawyers, age 40 and under. The award was presented Friday in Columbus. A graduate of Mount Union College and the Ohio State University Law School, she is a partner in the Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell law firm, working in its Salem office, and serves on the boards of directors of Salem Community Hospital, the Columbiana County Mental Health Clinic and the United Community Scholarship Foundation. Last year, she received the Athena Award for professional excellence and community leadership from the Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber and The Vindicator.
