ELECTION UPDATE | Incumbent Youngstown council members have large early-voting leads

YOUNGSTOWN — Incumbent Youngstown council members Annie Gillam and Paul Drennen have large early leads after absentee ballots were counted by the Mahoning County Board of Elections.

Gillam, D-1st, had 360 votes and her opponent, Adrian McDowell had 77. Drennen, D-5th, had 822 votes, and his opponent Plato Kalfas had 103 votes.

Those are the only contested Youngstown council races in this election.
