A 4.9-mill additional levy for Canfield schools is failing with 862 voters choosing no and 563 saying yes, based on absentee voting results. The levy would generate $2,751,914 a year and cost homeowners $8.68 a month per $100,000 of their home’s value, or $104.16 per $100,000 a year.

In May 2011 and November 2010, voters rejected a 6.8-mill additional operating levy.
