Amanda Marie Shaulis of Hubbard married Roger H. Smith of Brookfield in a Sept. 17 ceremony at St. Patrick Church.
The Rev. John Zuzik and the Rev. Timothy O’Neill performed the 1:30 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Margaret and Glenn Shaulis of Hubbard and the son of Mary Smith of Brookfield and the late Paul Smith. A reception followed at Avalon Golf and Country Club at Buhl Park in Hermitage.
The bride’s white satin gown featured a sweetheart neckline and was embellished with silk flowers, embroidered lace, crystal beading, sequins, rhinestones and pearls.
The attendants wore black and white. Darla Reinard was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Pamela Hayford, the groom’s sister, and Nicole Simms, Brooke Febinger and Kari Bell. Flower girls were Hunter Lombard, the bride’s cousin, and Riley Hayford, the groom’s niece.
Christopher Smith was best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Dave Ornelas, Keith Wagner, Brandon Moore and Brian Logan. Ring bearers were Logan Hayford, the groom’s nephew, and Chase Lombard, the bride’s cousin.
Mrs. Smith graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
Her husband, also a YSU graduate, earned his bachelor’s degree in applied science. He is a test engineer at Delphi in Warren.
After a honeymoon trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the newlyweds are building a home in Hubbard.
