Man dies in South Side fire

YOUNGSTOWN — Fire officials are trying to find out the cause of a fire at a South Side duplex in which a man died.

Firefighters were called to a home on Pine Hollow Drive about 7 tonight to find the duplex in flames. It took four firefighters to pull the man from the home, and he was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center. A city battalion chief told The Vindicator the man died later this evening. His name and age were not available at press time.
