SENIOR CITIZENS


Austintown AARP Chapter 4339 will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, 1612 Raccoon Road. A brief board meeting will begin at noon. Blood pressure screenings will be available. Guests and new members are welcome. Members are encouraged to take a can of pork and beans for a donation to the Rescue Mission. Membership dues will be collected. Take national and local AARP cards. A Christmas party will take place at A La Cart in Canfield, and tickets can be purchased for $14 per person. Canfield AARP Chapter 3104 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Canfield Presbyterian Church. Blood pressure screenings will be available from noon to 12:45. Shirley Griffin will present a program titled “Whatchamacallit” The last two bus trips for the year have a few openings. From Nov. 15 to Nov. 18, one tour will encompass four days and three nights at the Biltmore Mansion’s Christmas in Asheville, N.C., and Pigeon Forge, Tenn., which includes three shows with a Dollywood Christmas. J.C. Penney Retirees will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Denny’s in Boardman.

Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Barbara Burnside will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. Police & Fire Retirees of Ohio, District 2-Chapter 10 (Mahoning and Columbiana counties) will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Brandywine Clubhouse, 3390 Flo-Lor Drive, Youngstown. SOAR 27-2 and 27-6, Steelworkers Retirees of Local Union 1330 and 1331, will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Austintown Eagles Club, 1655 S. Raccoon Road. A representative from Anthem Blue Cross will be available to answer Medicare supplement questions. Reservations will be taken for the Dec. 5 Christmas party New members are welcome.

St. Anthony Senior Club will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Eat’n Park Restaurant, Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, for a Thanksgiving dinner. Those attending will order from the menu, with separate bills.

St. Charles Over-55 Club will meet at noon Tuesday in the social hall for pizza and refreshments followed by cards and board games. Birthdays will be recognized. Trumbull Memorial Hospital Retirees Club will have a luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 14 at Buena Vista Caf in Warren. The program will be about osteoporosis, presented by Shirley Lisk, M.Ed., C.H.E.S. Dues for this year and Christmas party reservations will be accepted. All TMH retirees are welcome.
