Mr., Mrs. Deckant to celebrate 60th

HOMOSASSA, FLA.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Deckant of Homosassa, Fla., will celebrate the 60th anniversary of their wedding Nov. 17.

Mr. Deckant and the former JoAnn Martin were married on the date in 1951 at St. Charles Church in Boardman.

After residing in Boardman, the couple moved in 1964 to Canfield, where they lived until 1973. They lived in Columbiana until 1984, when they moved to Charlotte, N.C. They have lived in Homosassa since 1994.

The Deckants are the parents of four: Gary Deckant of Boardman, Larry Deckant of North Lima, Fred Deckant of Homosassa and the late Michael Deckant. They have two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Deckant worked for Argus Color & Chemical of Charlotte, N.C., from 1985 to 1994, when he retired. He also had worked as superintendent of Forest Lawn Cemetery in Boardman from 1952 to 1984.
