Mary Therese Moore of North Lima and Lawrence M. Melago of Austintown were married Sept. 23 at Western Reserve Village Church in Canfield.

The Rev. Melinda Lacefield performed the late-afternoon ceremony for the daughter of John and Therese Elko and the son of Lawrence and Linda Melago. Both sets of parents are from Austintown. A reception took place at A La Cart Catering in Canfield.

The bride’s white sleeveless gown was adorned with pearls, sequins and silver stitching on the fitted bodice. It also featured a flowing skirt with a side-opened organdy overlay.

Wearing apple red were the bride’s attendants, Jennifer Fu, who was matron of honor, and Brooke Miller, the groom’s niece, who was flower girl.

Timothy Melago, the groom’s brother, was best man. Ushers were James Moore and John Moore, the bride’s sons, who escorted her.

Mrs. Melago graduated with a bachelor’s degree in applied science from Youngstown State University. She is a medical technologist at Alliance Community Hospital.

Mr. Melago is a union carpenter with Rien Construction in Brookfield.

After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple live in North Lima.
