Pa. man seriously injured in I-680 crash

A Pennsylvania man remains hospitalized from injuries sustained in a car accident on Interstate 680.

Damien Brink of Transfer, Pa., is in St. Elizabeth Health Center. where he was taken Thursday night after the pickup truck he was driving collided with a car, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

About 9:45 p.m. Brink, who was traveling southbound on 680 just north of U.S. Route 224, drove his truck off the left side of the road, a news release said. When he

re-entered the highway, his vehicle struck a car driven by Lucilla Stanich of Poland. Both vehicles went off the right side of the road, and Brink’s truck caught fire.

He was flown to the hospital by helicopter. Stanich was taken by ambulance, and was released after treatment, according to OSHP.

The accident is under investigation.
