Area services

Area places of worship will recognize veterans at special services.

Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St., Warren: A special service at 10 a.m. Nov. 13 will honor veterans. The service will include American Legion Post 540, bagpipers and patriotic music.

First Presbyterian Church of Hubbard, 22 Westview Ave., Hubbard: Service at 11 a.m. Nov. 13 will recognize veterans, current military personnel and their families. Refreshments will follow in fellowship hall.

Temple El Emeth, 3970 Logan Way, Liberty: A special Kabbalat shabbat service is planned for 7 p.m. Friday to honor Jewish veterans. Participants will be Rabbi Joseph Schonberger of El Emeth; Rabbi Franklin Muller of Congregation Rodef Sholom in Youngstown; and Rabbis Daria and Josh Jacobs-Velde of Congregtion Ohev Tzedek in Boardman; the Rev. George Balasko, Youngstown Connection and Jewish Community Center.
