Christian mixer at McDonough Nov. 17

The Christian Donor Network will host a networking mixer for business professionals from 5 to 8 p.m.

Nov. 17 at McDonough Museum of Art, 410 Wick Ave.

The event aims to educate, and stress the importance of organ donation and celebrate living donors, recipients and their supporters. Ella Peterson, a donor recipient, and others will share their stories.

The Center for Community Empowerment, in partnership with LifeBanc, is dedicated to raising funds and awareness of organ donation and sharing resources with families who need support during surgical procedures.

The event is part of National Donor Sabbath Month, which encourages faith-based leaders to raise awareness about the need for organ, eye and tissue donors within their diverse communities.

Mixer tickets are $35. Donations of $50 and more will receive a copy of Peterson’s newly released CD “Standing on a Promise.” Contributions are tax-deductible. Call 330-740-1982.
