‘Bowzer’ to visit Valley, seeking defeat of Issue 2

Jon “Bowzer” Bauman, best known for his time in the band Sha Na Na, will be going door-to-door Sunday afternoon in the Youngstown area urging people to vote against state Issue 2.

The issue would restrict some collective-bargaining rights for public employees.

Bauman will speak at noon Sunday at the AFSCME Council 8 office at 150 S. Four Mile Run Road in Austintown to volunteers before joining them to talk to residents urging them to vote against the bill on Tuesday’s ballot.
