Saturday chocolate-tasting to benefit McCartneys

NEWTON FALLS

A chocolate-tasting and silent auction to benefit the Dale McCartney Family is at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of Pentecost Church Hall, 4363 state Route 82.

The event will feature independent chocolatier Jackie Duckworth with Dove Chocolate Discoveries. Half of the sale proceeds will go to the McCartneys.

Dale McCartney has Stage 3 brain cancer and can no longer work. He has frequent seizures and cannot be left alone. His wife, Teresa, is caring for him and their children.

Anyone who cannot attend the fundraiser may donate to the Dale or Teresa McCartney Benefit Fund at PNC Bank Howland, 8215 East Market St., Howland.
