East Ohio Volleyball Club
Tryouts will be held for the East Ohio Volleyball Club on Nov. 13 and 20 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Warren YMCA, 210 High Street, Warren.

YMCA offers Youth Sports Program Fall calendar
The Fall Youth Fundamental Basketball League kicks has begun. The league runs through Dec. 17 and is open to boys and girls ages 4 to 15. Registration fees are $48 for YMCA members and $68 for all others.
The YMC is also offering a Fall Sunday Team “Select” Basketball League. This league will conclude with a league tournament on Dec. 18. The “Select” league is open to boys in fourth, fifth and sixth grade and girls in fifth and sixth grade. Registration fees are $42 for YMCA members and $57 for all others.

YSU basketball season tickets on sale
Season tickets for the Youngstown State men’s and women’s basketball season are on sale now.
Fans can purchase reserved-seat season tickets through Penguin Club Membership at $140 or through the Penguin Package of $160, which includes all men’s and women’s games.
The ticket office also announced individual game tickets will go on sale Nov. 1.
Prices for individual reserved seats are $12 prior to game day and $14 on game day. General admission individual ticket prices are $8 prior to game day and $10 on game day.
YSU baseball camp
The Youngstown State baseball staff will host a camp for boys and girls aged 6-13 on Dec. 29-30 at the new Watson and Tressel Training Site on YSU’s campus.
All aspects and fundamentals of baseball will be taught, including hitting, fielding, base-running and the mental part of the game.

Katie Griswold earns all-Horizon League
Junior forward Katie Griswold, a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High and now a member of the Butler women’s soccer team earned All-Horizon League recognition.
Voting was conducted by the league’s nine head women’s soccer coaches.
Griswold earned first-team honors for the second straight season.
She has six goals this year and ranks second on the team with 13 points. Griswold, who was also on the all-newcomer team in 2009, scored three goals against Horizon League opponents this season.
Lifeguard classes at YMCA
D.D. & Velma Davis Family — offers lifeguard training courses to area teens and young adults beginning Nov. 1. The course runs through Nov. 22 and meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Participants in the course must be 16 years old by Nov. 22, pass a swim competency test and attend every class.
