Sinus program offered in Salem
Otolaryngologist Dr. Wayland Wong, who is affiliated with Salem Ear, Nose and Throat and The Advanced Sinus Center and is a member of Salem Community Hospital’s medical staff, is offering a free educational program on sinus problems Nov. 10 at Salem Community Center, 1098 North Ellsworth Ave., Salem.
At 6:30 p.m., participants can view displays and complete a written sinus screening assessment.
At 7 p.m.. Dr. Wong will present “New Trends in Sinus Treatment.”
Light refreshments and door prizes that may be helpful in providing sinus symptom relief will be available. Call 330-332-7152 to register.

Neurological Seminar planned

The Mahoning Valley Epilepsy Fund and Help Hotline Crisis Center are presenting the 13th Annual Neurological Seminar for physicians, nurses, social workers, counselors, therapists, educators and the general public Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Austintown Public Library, 600 S. Raccoon Road.
The registration deadline is Wednesday, after which there is an additional $10 fee. The cost is $30 for those getting CEUs and $15 for the general public.

Meditation class, drum circle offered
WARREN
The Yoga Room, 2232 Elm Road NE, Warren, is offering a meditation class followed by a drum-circle gathering on the first Friday of the month. This Friday, the meditation class is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and the drum circle begins at 7 p.m. Participants are asked to donate nonperishable food items or money designated for Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley.

The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of American Northeast Ohio Chapter is offering “Understanding Inflammatory Bowel Diseases: What Every Patient Needs to Know” on Monday at Politis Auditorium in Northside Medical Center’s Medical Education Building, 500 Gypsy Lane.
