Hubbard man charged in car-wash vandalism goes to court Dec. 13

A 29-year-old Hubbard man accused of pulling a car-wash vacuum cleaner off its base will be back in court Dec. 13.
Daniel R. Moerch, Jr., of Main Street, has been charged with felony vandalism. Police said Moerch tried to pry open a carwash vacuum Oct. 26 at the Splash and Shine Auto Bath Car Wash, 869 E. Midlothian Blvd., and then pulled the machine from its stone base using his pick-up truck, causing an estimated $3,000 in damage.
Moerch did not enter a plea at his Tuesday arraignment in Mahoning County Area Court, and bond was set at $2,500.
