YBPW names Miller Woman of the Year

YOUNGSTOWN

Traci Miller was honored as Woman of the Year on Oct. 18 for National Business Women’s Week, sponsored by the Youngstown Business & Professional Women’s Club. The event took place at Caf Cimmento.

Lisa Dickson, 2011-2012 president of the YBPW, presented Miller, president of Color 3 Embroidery and Growth Coach Business Coach, with the award. She was selected as this year’s Woman of the Year because of the success of her own business, her leadership in the community and the coaching and mentoring she does for small-business owners throughout the Valley.

Miller and her company were chosen as 2011 SBA Emerging 200 recipients and have recently expanded into a 12,500 square-foot building in downtown Warren. In addition to business coaching through the Growth Coach, Miller is president of the board of directors of the YWCA of Warren, is past president of the YBPW and coordinator of the women’s entrepreneurship events that take place at Youngstown State University in partnership with the YBPW.

The evening included networking, dinner, the award presentation and guest speaker Dawn Ochman of Dawn Inc. Ochman, a local contractor, discussed issues faced by women in business.

The Business and Professional Women’s Foundation has celebrated National Business Women’s Week the third week of October, since 1928, to recognize the achievements of American working women.
