Warren Mayor-elect Doug Franklin to be honored at Urban League fete

WARREN — Mayor-elect Doug Franklin will be honored as the Greater Warren-Youngstown Urban League’s “Person of the Year” during the league’s 81st anniversary dinner Thursday at McMenamy’s Banquet Center in Niles.

Youngstown native Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, star of NBC TV’s “The Apprentice,” will deliver the keynote address.

Franklin is the first black person to be elected Warren’s mayor.
