Lifeguard training courses offered

BOARDMAN

The Youngstown YMCA is offering lifeguard training for teens and young adults through Nov. 22.

Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon at the Davis YMCA Branch in Boardman. The cost is $200. Participants must be at least 16 years old by Nov. 22, pass a swim competency test and attend every class. Those who successfully complete the course will have the opportunity to interview for a lifeguard position with the Y. For more information call Chris Hughes at 330-480-5655.
