Gov. Kasich, GOP leaders to actively campaign for SB 5

COLUMBUS — Gov. John Kasich and the Republican leaders of the Ohio House and Senate plan to be “actively involved” in a group formed to ensure that controversial collective-bargaining reforms signed into law earlier this year take effect.

The three were announced today as part of Building a Better Ohio, which will provide the proponent voices and faces to the coming campaign to confirm the provisions of Senate Bill 5.

Another group, We Are Ohio, is collecting signatures to place the law on the November ballot, giving Ohio voters the ultimate say on whether the Republican-backed law changes stand or fall.

Information about the new group is available online, www.BetterOhio.org.
