SENIOR CITIZENS


1418 Auxiliary Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Brownstone Court. John Texter will preside. Cancellations must be made by Monday to Sandy Redeske at 330-755-5192. Campbell Memorial High School January and June Classes of 1950 will meet at noon Wednesday at Bedford Trails in Lowellville.

Erie-Mahoning Valley Railroad Association will meet at noon Tuesday at Davidson’s Restaurant, 3636 Canfield Road, Cornersburg. Reports will be given, and birthdays will be recognized. All railroad retirees and their spouses are welcome.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will have their monthly meeting at noon Friday in Lowellville City Hall conference room with Ernie Ciarniello presiding. Sloppy joes and cheesy potatoes will be served for lunch. Call Janet Davanzo at 330-793-3176 for reservations or cancellations. Birthdays and anniversaries for June will be acknowledged. Bingo will follow the meeting. Members are asked to take a donation for a gift basket to be presented to shut-in members. Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will meet on June 8 at Antone’s Banquet Center, 8578 Market St., Boardman. The social hour will begin at 5 p.m., and dinner will be at 5:45. The program will include a legislative update by Ken Carano and Dave Gynn, president-elect of Ohio Retired Teachers Association. Nonperishable goods, current magazines and paperback books will be collected. All area retired teachers are invited. To make a reservation, contact Cheryl Fell, 330-533-4535 by Wednesday.

Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Patty Perio will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided.
