Fait qualifies for regionals

Jake Fait of Boardman won the 16-18 division at the Optimist International Junior Golf Championship at Deer Creek Golf Course in Hubbard May 14 after shooting a 74. The win qualified him for the regional tournament in June.

Boardman’s Tarantino to play at Mount

Boardman High School senior Carmen Tarantino have committed to attend the University of Mount Union and play football this fall. Tarantino, a 5-10, 210 pound linebacker, was an all-league, all-region, and all-state selection. He is the son of Anthony and Cheryl Tarantino.
