After a mudfest in Week 4, the players, coaches and parents were greeted by the hottest, most humid day of the spring YYFFA season last Sunday at Boardman High School.

Week 5 also was the end of the regular season for some teams. The 5-6 year-old Packers squared off against the Miami Dolphins in a match-up of unbeaten squads. In an offensive struggle, Green Bay returned an interception for a touchdown in overtime to lock up the No. 1 seed with a 6-0 record.

In the 7-8 division, the Week 6 “Flex Game” match-up between the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles will determine who comes out of that division with the top seed heading into the playoffs.

The 9-11 division playoffs will see the Packers in the top spot after they defeated the Texans and Ravens (two of the best teams in the division).

The Arizona Cardinals, also undefeated, will look to lock up the second seed in the 9-11 division with a win over the Denver Broncos this Sunday.

It comes down to a rematch between the Patriots and Cardinals in the 12-14 division to determine who heads into the playoffs with momentum and the No. 1 seed. The Patriots won the first match-up in Week 3. They will renew the rivalry Sunday.
