More than 135 C.H. Campbell Elementary School students earned a free lunch, thanks to their sales skills.

The students, from kindergarten to fourth grade, reached their cookie dough sales goal and were treated to lunch by the cookie dough company May 18-19. The students sold the cookie dough as a PTO fundraiser for the school.

To make the lunch even more special, the students were chauffeured to Golden Corral Buffet and Grill in Boardman in limousine busses, Top Hat 1 and Top Hat 2, from Fab Limousine.

The trips were set up so each class had its turn for lunch at the restaurant over the two days, with the kindergarteners going with the first-graders.

According to Kent Polen, C.H. Campbell Elementary School principal, the lunch has become an annual event.

“This is the fifth year we have done this. The kids really enjoy it. The dessert bar at Golden Corral seems to be the favorite part of the trip,” said Polen.

Parent volunteers traveled with the students in the limousine busses and also met the classes at the restaurant.
