1-room school opens Sunday

MERCER, PA.

The Caldwell One-Room School, on Mercer-Greenville Road between Mercer and Greenville, will open for the season Sunday. It will be open Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. through Labor Day. Admission is free.

The building houses artifacts, books and other memorabilia that tell the story of how rural Americans were educated before the consolidation of schools in the mid-1900s.
