Youngstown sets dates for summer day camps, pool

YOUNGSTOWN

The city’s parks-and-recreation department will sponsor free summer day camps at city parks between June 15 and Aug. 10.

The camps will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the following parks: Wick, Crandall, John White, MVSD, Homestead and Lynn.

The camp includes free field trips and activities along with visits from agencies such as Heart Reach Ministries, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the American Red Cross.

Free breakfast and lunch will be provided to all registered children.

Also, the North Side Pool will operate from June 15 to Aug. 10 with the pool open seven days a week, weather permitting, between 1 and 8 p.m. The cost is $1.50 per adult and $1 per child.
