Holy Family salutes students at academic honors banquet

POLAND

Holy Family School honored sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students when it sponsored its Principal’s Academic Honors Banquet recently at the parish center.

Honorees must attain a 3.7 grade-point average or higher on a possible 4.0 scale for the 2010-2011 academic year. Students in accelerated math classes are on a 5.0 scale.

This year’s guest speaker was Dr. Brandon Mikolich, a graduate of Holy Family School, Cardinal Mooney High School and Villanova University’s seven-year bachelor of science/M.D. program.

He is an interventional cardiologist in Hubbard and in Hermitage, Pa.
