Driver hits house, bank during police pursuit
HARBORCREEK, Pa. (AP) — Police in northwestern Pennsylvania say a man crashed into a house and a bank during a police chase.
State police say a Wesleyville police officer tried to stop the driver early this morning. The driver struck a house then continued on, hitting a pillar in a drive-thru at a bank in an Erie County shopping plaza.
Authorities said the man lost a wheel on his SUV and attempted to continue his flight but was taken into custody.
No further details on what prompted the pursuit were immediately available.
