Weave thieves grab $10,000 in hair extensions

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. (AP) — The owner of a beauty supply store in suburban Atlanta says thieves rammed a car through the front door and made off with about $10,000 in hair extensions.

Don Kang says the thieves hit his store, Beauty Emporium, around 3 a.m. Thursday.

Security video showed five masked intruders leaping over the counter and grabbing armloads of hair extensions before running out seconds later.

Kang says the thieves drove away in the same vehicle they used to crash through the glass door of the store in a shopping center in College Park.

Kang says the burglary is one of many in recent months at beauty supply stores in the Atlanta area.
