Party on the Plaza set to begin Friday

YOUNGSTOWN

Party on the Plaza, the end-of-the-workweek blowouts outside Buffalo Wild Wings on Central Square, downtown, will begin another season Friday.

Featured bands will be soul and R&B-tinged Hoss Jarman and the Juggernauts, with opening act Triple Threat. All parties begin at 5 p.m., with bands taking the stage at 8 and 10:30 p.m.

Teams from the American Cancer Society Relay for Life will serve as bartenders Friday to raise money for cancer research.

The rest of the schedule is as follows:

June 10: Graphic Pink, with Pete Shelby and the Blue Collar Band.

July 1: The Houseband (with opening act to be named later).

July 15: The Rage, with Winslow.

Aug. 5: The Kellys, with Jordan DePaul and the Reputations.

Aug. 19: The Houseband, with Triple Threat.
