Pa. teen faces juvenile charges in death of 8-year-old boy

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Police in Harrisburg have charged a 17-year-old girl in the death of an 8-year-old boy who was struck by a car in March.

The unnamed teen was processed Tuesday on juvenile charges including homicide by vehicle and reckless endangerment in the March 17 death of Owen Brezitski.

The boy had just left a concert at Bishop McDevitt High School when he was fatally struck in a crosswalk outside the school. Police say the driver was heading after a study session and remained at the scene after the crash.

The girl was released into the custody of her parents.
