Girl burned in fire dies day after brother

Firefighters say a 4-year-old girl has died after suffering severe burns in a house fire that left her 2-year-old brother dead.

A spokesman for the Columbus Division of Fire says the girl died Sunday, one day after the blaze at a home near Grove City.

Battalion Chief Michael Fowler says the children’s parents also were hurt. He says the father had burns from the waist up and remained in stable but critical condition Sunday at a hospital. The mother had minor burns.

Fowler has said the fire was ruled accidental.
