The exchange of nuptial vows took place at 1:30 p.m. April 30 as Traci Hassell and Jason Westrem, both of Medina, Ohio, were united in marriage at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park.

Timothy Swesey officiated at the ceremony for a daughter of Craig and Marsha Hassell of Hubbard and son of Mabel Westrem of Poland and Arthur Westrem of Beloit.

The couple received congratulations during a reception at Mahoning Country Club before leaving on a wedding trip to Mexico. They live in Medina.

Red gowns with black belts were worn by the honor attendants, Leah Neilson and Tami Tuttle, a sister of the bride, and the bridesmaids, Monika Rajkovicova, Diana Conzett, Maggie Bodgan and Leeann Craig. Flower girl was Jessica Morris, the groom’s niece. Michael Zembower and Steve Shovlin shared the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Josh Bishop; Matt Beard; Jeff Westrem, the groom’s brother; and Brett Hassell, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Dustin Craig, a nephew of the bride.

The bride graduated from Westminster College with a degree in business management and is a manager with Family Video in Medina.

The groom, a manager at Family Video in Cleveland, attended Youngstown State University.
