Pet Walk and Wagfest scheduled as benefit for Humane Society


EAST PALESTINE

East Palestine Chamber of Commerce and the Humane Society of Columbiana County are sponsoring Pet Walk and Wagfest Saturday at East Palestine Park, 31 Park Drive, as a benefit for the Humane Society.

The $15 entry fee entitles walkers to a T-shirt and a chance for a raffle prize. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and vendors open and the Pet Walk begins at 9.

Scheduled until 1 p.m. are a series of activities including demonstrations by The Learning Dog and Enrichment Center, 4 On the Floor Pet Training and Great Lakes Emergency Response Team K9.

“Doc” Roberts of Posing With Pets Photography will be available for photos; Connie Randolph, local author, will be on hand to autograph copies of her book, “Casper”; and there will be several contests, face painting and a K9 Kissing Booth with “Duke.”

Raffle tickets will be given to those taking shelter supplies such as bleach, paper towels, laundry detergent, pet and office supplies, latex gloves and gift and gas cards to the event.
