Warren-based Stoneridge, Inc., a manufacturer of electrical and electronic components, recently hired Richard Adante to fill the newly created position of vice president of operations. Adante, who last served as the president of Hawthorn Manufacturing, will be responsible for plant operations, supply chain and operational performance improvement. Adante previously worked in various senior management positions during his 30-plus-year career with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

MEDICINE

Dr. Jane D’Isa Smith has been elected department chairwoman in internal medicine at South Pointe Hospital, a member of the Cleveland Clinic Health System. She was also voted one of the best doctors in Cleveland in internal medicine. Dr. Smith is a 1985 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and also has degrees from Bowling Green State and Ohio State universities.
