No. 28 will have its annual Policemen’s Memorial Luncheon on Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish Hall in Youngstown. Stambaugh Chorus to present concert

YOUNGSTOWN

The Stambaugh Chorus, under the direction of Hae-Jong Lee with accompanist Alison Morris, will present a concert, “Songs of America I: Peace & Hope,” at 4 p.m. Sunday at Stambaugh Auditorium.

Tickets are $10 at the door; advance reservations are two for $10. Call 330-881-9517 or go to stambaughchorus.org. Students will be admitted free.

The program will feature four songs from Randall Thompson’s “Frostiana,” a commemorative work that features poetry of Robert Frost.

Also, the chorus will perform “Sleep” by American composer Eric Whitacre. Hymns, folk songs, spirituals and gospel songs also will be presented.
