OSHP investigates small-plane crash


GOSHEN — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a minor plane crash at the Salem Air Park, 11718 Salem-Warren Road, here this morning.

According to a patrol press release, a single-engine six-passenger plane under the control of a 34-year-old man from Indiana attempted to land at the air park at 8:30 a.m. but touched down just short of the west end of the runway.

The plane sustained heavy damage and came to rest on the side of the runway.

Two of the four passengers aboard the plane, ranging in age from 34 to 61, suffered minor injuries, reports said. One passenger was taken to Salem Community Hospital. All four passengers are from Indiana.
