One killed in two-vehicle crash in Columbiana County

EAST LIVERPOOL — The Ohio State Highway Patrol said it will forward its investigation of a fatal accident at 2:08 a.m. today to the Columbiana County Prosecutor’s Office for possible prosecution. The patrol said that April L. Busic, 40, of Mingo Junction, was driving a Pontiac Grand Prix east on U.S. Route 30. The patrol said that Busic drifted off the right side of the roadway and her car struck a Kia Sportage that was parked on the shoulder of the road. Busic’s car slid into a ditch. The Kia Sportage slid into the eastbound lanes and caught fire. Busic was taken to East Liverpool Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Sportage was killed. The patrol did not identify the driver killed in the crash.
