Ohio State warns students about big parties

COLUMBUS (AP) — Ohio State University is warning students to keep parties under control days after a bash that spilled into the street and led to three arrests and three police officers getting injured.

In an email sent to undergraduates on Wednesday, Vice President for Student Life Javaune Adams-Gaston advises them not to host large parties or attend them.

She also reminds them that the university’s Code of Student Conduct makes discipline possible for students who host parties that get out of hand.

Adams-Gaston says those who throw parties should think carefully about whether they want to be responsible for the actions of hundreds of strangers.

Columbus police used pepper spray to break up the party in the street last weekend. The injured officers were not hurt seriously.
