1st Champion for Children award given to Beeghlys

The Beeghly family, on whose homestead property Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley stands, was presented the hospital’s first Champion for our Valley’s Children Award.

The award was presented Tuesday at the first Champions for our Valley’s Children Celebration Dinner by William Considine, president and chief executive officer of Akron Children’s Hospital. The ceremony honored all Akron Children’s Mahoning Valley donors.

The award, created to recognize donors to the hospital, was accepted by Bruce Beeghly on behalf of the family including his wife, Nancy; Joel and MaryJane Beeghly; Julia Adams; Ted and Dawn Beeghly; and Molly Roberts.

“We are proud of our growth and progress and commitment to the Mahoning Valley. But none of this would have been possible without the support of our donors and in particular the Beeghly family,” Considine said.
