If you're flying out of Pittsburgh International, get there early

PITTSBURGH — The Allegheny County Airport Authority today issued a travel advisory for Pittsburgh International Airport because of increased traffic during the upcoming summer travel season.

The authority is reminding travelers to arrive at Pittsburgh International at least 90 minutes to two hours before their scheduled departure time.

Travelers are also urged to print boarding passes from home or use the boarding pass kiosks inside the airport if they are not checking luggage.

Passengers are also asked to remember the 3-1-1 rule to expedite the screening process. No more than 3 ounces of liquid or gel in a container, all containers must be packed in a clear one-quart, zip-top bag and only one bag per passenger.
