THURSDAY

St. Michael Orthodox Church, 125 Steel St., Youngstown, will serve homemade Chinese lunches from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursdays. This week’s meal will feature five-spice beef or Shanghai chicken. The cost of the meal is $6. No reservations are necessary.

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, will sponsor a takeout meatloaf dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The cost is $7 for a meal of meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, green beans and a cookie. Drive up to the back door to place your order, and the meal will be brought to you. FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Advance sales only. Lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 after 6 p.m. Thursday or from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available. May 27 will be the final sale for the season.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $4.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. This will be the final sale of the season.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Walk-in orders will be available. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

SATURDAY

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have a chicken barbecue from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $5.50 for children. The menu includes a half chicken, baked potato, applesauce, roll, green beans, pie and beverage. Carryouts will be available. Call 330-549-2588.

Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1951 Mathews Road, Youngstown, will serve Swiss steak dinners in the fellowship hall from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children 5 to 12 and free for those 4 and under.

Knights of Columbus Bishop Fenwick Council 13586 will sponsor a steak fry from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Pacentrano Club, 2629 Craiger Ave., Youngstown. The cost is $15, and there will be a cash bar, a 50-50 raffle and a basket auction. For tickets call Brian Antal at 330-690-8435.

Saxon Club, 719 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown will have a pork and kraut dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Meals include dessert and coffee, tea or pop. Takeouts will be available.

St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1429 Mahoning Ave, Youngstown, will have an all-you-can-eat pasta buffet at noon in the Colonial Room. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread, dessert and beverages. The cost is $6.50 for adults, $3.25 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. Reservations are not required but appreciated. Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St., Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meals are $6.50 for adults and $4.50 for children 12 and under.

Warren Emblem Club 397, of the Supreme Club of the United States of America, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from noon to 4 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 3581 Youngstown Road, Warren. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 9 and under. Carryouts will be available. Walk-ins are welcome. Carnations will be given to all mothers.

TUESDAY

Mahoning United Methodist Church, 2214 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will sell stuffed cabbage rolls from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until sold out for $1.50 each. TAKING ORDERS
