YOUNGSTOWN

Police are investigating multiple shootings over the weekend that took place in various locations throughout the city.

Dwayne E. Boone, 22, of Lemans Drive, Boardman, and Boston Walker, 21, of Southern Boulevard, were both arraigned Monday in Youngstown Municipal Court on charges connected to shooting at a house in the 700 block of East Dewey on Saturday.

Walker is charged with complicity to felonious assault and is in Mahoning County jail on a $100,000 bond.

Boone is charged with improperly discharging a firearm into a habitation, illegal possession of a weapon, possession of drugs and domestic violence. He is in jail on a $257,000 bond.

Police still are looking for a third suspect — Kevin Johnson of Youngstown — in the shooting.

Reports say a man and woman living in the Dewey residence received a threatening text message then looked outside to see the three men get out of a Mercedes Benz car and begin firing at the house.

The couple told police they grabbed their three children and took cover. No one was injured in the shooting.

Police also are investigating a Saturday-afternoon shooting on the city’s East Side in which a 24-year-old Burlington Avenue man was shot in the foot.

The man told police he went to the Plazaview Apartments off McGuffey Road on Saturday to pick up a cellphone from a family member and was standing near an apartment in the 900 block of the housing complex after picking up the phone.

The victim said a man holding a chrome handgun ordered him to leave, and he began walking away but the man fired at him, with one of the bullets hitting him in the foot. The shooter ran off, but a citizen provided police with a detailed description and name of the shooter.

The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment.

Police also are looking for a group of juveniles involved in a shooting Friday on the South Side. Reports say the group of juveniles may be part of a gang called the “F.O.E. Boys.” The police report did not specify what F.O.E. stands for.

According to police reports, a 35-year-old East Boston Avenue woman told police her children have been having ongoing problems with other juveniles from the neighborhood associated with the gang. She said the alleged gang members came to her home late Friday demanding her kids come out and fight, but her children refused.

The woman said shortly after the juveniles showed up at her house, the home was hit by gunfire. A neighboring house and car also were hit by gunfire. There were no injuries.
