Miss Schmutz, Mr. Maughan are engaged

The engagement of Jill Caroline Schmutz of Dublin and Edwin Michael Maughan Jr. of Canfield and plans for their upcoming marriage are announced by their parents.

Reid and Judy Schmutz of Boardman are parents of the bride-to-be. The future groom is a son of Linda Maughan of Bradenton, Fla., and Edwin Maughan Sr. of Poland.

The couple will be united in marriage during an outdoor ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at Youngstown Country Club. Invitations will be issued for the wedding and for a reception immediately following.

The bride-elect graduated cum laude from Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in English. She is a reading editor and phonics specialist with The McGraw-Hill Companies in Columbus.

The prospective groom graduated from the University of South Florida with bachelor’s degrees in marketing and business management. He is the president and owner of Boardman Coin, Jewelry and Estate Buyers Inc. in Boardman and Niles.
