WARREN
Corey T. Woodley, 33, of Tanya Avenue NW, was taken unconscious to St. Joseph Health Center after he was hit in the head with a baseball bat over the weekend.
Police said Woodley had a potentially serious head injury and a cut to his lip at 3:15 a.m. Saturday. The hospital said Monday it had no record of him, however.
A witness told police she, Woodley and a third person had been at a Parkman Road tavern, and Woodley had gotten into an argument with a woman.
Later, the three went to a West Market Street pharmacy, where the woman from the bar pulled into the lot and pounded on the window near Woodley, then walked off.
A short time later, a man got out of a van with a bat and hit Woodley in the head, then hit the female witness with it in the forehead. The witness took Woodley to the hospital, but she refused medical treatment for herself, according to police.
