CARD, BINGO PARTIES

St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church GCU Lodge 164 will have a bingo night Wednesday at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and games begin at 6:45. There will be a raffle for six gift baskets and a $500 matching fund donated by the GCU home office. All net bingo proceeds and gift basket raffle money will benefit St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry of Youngstown.

Second Chance Animal Rescue will sponsor bingo Saturday at St. Nicholas Church, 764 Fifth St., Struthers. Bingo games take place the third Saturday of each month except June. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the early bird game begins at 6:50 p.m. Regular games start at 7. All proceeds benefit Second Chance Animal Rescue. CRAFT SHOWS

Vendors are needed for the 24th Annual Arts & Crafts in the Park, to take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 25 at Centennial Park, East Pershing Street, Salem. Setup is at 7 a.m., rain or shine. A 20-by-20-foot space costs $25. Take your own tables and chairs, or they will be supplied for $35. Tents will be allowed, but no electricity is available. SALES

CWF will host a spring-cleaning sale at Canfield Christian Church, 123 N. Broad St., from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday. All unsold items will be donated to local charities. Concessions will be available.

Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 1210 Himrod Ave., will have a trash and treasure sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Goodwill Stores in Austintown, Boardman, Calcutta, Hermitage, Liberty, New Castle, Salem and Warren are open Monday through Sunday and feature 50 percent off donated merchandise sales the last Friday and Saturday of each month. The stores sell clothing, furniture, household items, books, home decor items, electronics and new goods. Purchases help to fund job training and employment services to people with disabilities and other barriers to employment in the community. Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, 480 Youngstown-Poland Road, Struthers, is having a birthday party and tent sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 28. In celebration of the store’s third birthday, there will be special bargains and refreshments will be served. Proceeds support the local Habitat for Humanity Mission. The store’s regular hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The ReStore carries a wide variety of building materials, including doors, windows, sinks and hardware, wood products, flooring, plumbing, electrical and lighting, appliances, electronics, furniture and home decor items. Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 N. Broad St., (Route 46), Canfield, will have a Trash and Treasure Sale from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Baked goods will also be for sale. Funds raised will be used to repair the church’s roof.

New Wilmington Garden Club will offer perennial and annual plants and a variety of homemade baked goods for sale from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the car lot of Wilmington Motors on the square in New Wilmington, Pa. St. James Episcopal Church, 7650 Glenwood Ave., Boardman will have a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and a half price sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Gently worn spring and summer clothing, jewelry, household items, books and toys will be available.

Shepherd Self Storage, 7469 South Ave., Boardman, is inviting vendors, crafters, individuals or organizations to participate in an outdoor sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 4. In case of inclement weather, the sale will be indoors. Vendors can rent a 10-foot-by-20-foot spot for $25. Tables can be rented for $8. A $10 cash deposit is required by May 31 to reserve a spot. W.E.L.C.A. Women’s Group of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 388 E. Midlothian Blvd., Youngstown, will host a trunk treasures sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 4 (rain date is June 11) at the church parking lot. Reserve a space for $10 and sell accumulated articles out of the trunk of the car. Payment is required by May 28. Hot dogs and soft drinks will be available and there will be a 50-50 raffle, a raffle for a Covered by the Cross afghan donated by June Bell, and a used book sale. A String of Pearls Red Hat Society June Group presents a gala day at Catawba Island Club on the shores of Lake Erie. The event will take place June 24.
